Per-agency SMTP setup
Send emails from your own domain. Step-by-step config.
Why per-agency SMTP
By default Estate-HQ uses our shared mailer. Emails come from [email protected]. To send from your domain (e.g. [email protected]), configure your own SMTP server.
Setup
Settings → Email → SMTP configuration:
- Host — your SMTP server (e.g.
smtp.gmail.comorsmtp.office365.com) - Port — usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
- Encryption — TLS for port 587, SSL for 465
- Username — full email address
- Password — for Gmail/Office365 use an app password (not your main one)
- From address — what tenants see in their inbox
- From name — your agency name
Test it
Hit Send test email → check the inbox. If it works, save. From then on all agency outgoing mail uses your config.
Notification toggles
Below the SMTP config, you can disable specific notifications (e.g. turn off rent reminders if you handle that elsewhere). Tenants/landlords still get system notifications (e.g. agreement sign requests) — those can't be disabled.
